Although we unfortunately were not able to attend this year’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in person, we have been following its coverage closely. Below are just a few of the hottest tech gadgets that really caught our attention.

1. Lytro Camera

This is without a doubt one of the coolest new devices shown at CES this year. The Lytro camera is completely unconventional both in its design and its functionality but we have a feeling we’ll be seeing much more of this technology implemented in future devices. The Lytro camera captures all of the light in its field of view which amazingly allows you to change the focus of your photos after the fact. No more blurry auto-focus woes.

But there was always another other program lingering off in distance, a mysterious one I had minimal first-hand experience with; little did I know that it would soon forever change my workflow.

Don’t get me wrong, Photoshop is a great tool, but when it comes to building and managing web comps, Photoshop is just the wrong choice. It’s akin to using a spoon to cut a steak--it’s simply the wrong tool for the job, and although it may work eventually, the experience leaves much to be desired. Below are my top 10 reasons why I’ve decided to use Fireworks over Photoshop as my primary web comp tool.
