Lately, we have been more inclined to use Lightroom when provided with photo editing requests. Why choose to use Lightroom or incorporate it with Photoshop when editing photos? Here are our top 5 reasons why:

1. Time Savings
With features such as presets, styles and batch processing, Lightroom gives you the opportunity to save time without sacrificing quality. Although you are able to purchase styles and templates online, you have the creative freedom to create your own based on the project.

2. No Layers Needed
With Lightroom’s preservation of every update made, there is no need for layers. You are even able to save a snapshot of your image, preserving the updates, and make additional changes. Change your mind? No problem! Just go back to the snapshot and pick up from where you left off.

3. Adjustment Brushes
Precisely fine-tune an image with the wide variety of setting options available with adjustment brushes. We love that you can toggle the view of what has been adjusted without the need for layers.

4. Side-by-side Comparison
This is great when presenting to a client should they have particular requests, especially important in portraits and employee photos. You are able to view a side-by-side comparison of the original photo and the up-to-date edited version with easy reference to the revisions.

5. Photoshop Integration
Move smoothly from one application to the next.  Although Lightroom provides more than enough editing capabilities, when advanced photo editing, such as merging multiple photos and special effects are required, fear not using Photoshop and Lightroom hand-in-hand.
