Fortran Traffic Website Design and Development

Fortran Traffic

35+ Years in the Industry

A vision thirty-five years ago led Fortran to become a leader in the North American ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) industry, providing integrated turnkey solutions to meet an expanding array of customer needs.

Launch Site

The Story

Radii worked on the original Fortran website in 2009 and has provided support ever since. In the summer of 2016, we were given the opportunity to modernize and refresh the site just in time to present at an important industry event. Key elements of improvement on the site include the ease of content publishing, new information architecture and a fully responsive, engaging user experience.

Refreshed Design

One challenge of creating the new site was composing a design with the right elements that reflect the industry while also standing the test of time. The site was built with design flexibility in mind for creative enhancements to be made in the future as needed.

Ease of Publishing

The content management system was created with the Fortran Administrators in mind. Making the admin back-end intuitive was critical. Ease of use allows the client to manage the site content and interface and easily maintain sections such as the product catalogue, as it grows.

Cross-Platform Compatibility

The site and its features were developed to be compatible with a wide range of browsers and devices. This allows for a more immersive experience and enforces consistency when alternating between browsers or devices.

The Outcome

The new website is available for use on mobile, tablet and desktop devices. It has been well received by both Fortran and their clients. With the short timeline we were provided with, we were able to address all major requests and concerns overcoming any small obstacles that came our way with positive results.
