Launch Site

The Story

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) were looking for a way to enable its staff, board members, executives, volunteers, partners, and executive directors to share information and collaborate. Apart from wanting to have this Members site developed and deployed quickly, they wanted it to be designed in a way that would allow users to adapt seamlessly.

It’s Not Complicated

We knew that speed and adaptability were key, so we didn’t try to pack every single new feature and system integration opportunity into the project. This helped us uncomplicate things, which enabled BGCC Members to quickly have a site that allowed them to start collaborating right away.

Made Sure To Have Permission

With a Members site and the need for multi-user administration, permissions was a key consideration. We ensured that tiered access was possible, and that administering access was easy and scalable.

User-Centric

We designed a dashboard that put the level first: dashboards were customized for each user level so that they could easily navigate to the areas they used most. In addition, we added user directories, a user feedback mechanism, and integrated BGCC’s existing social media properties, ultimately bringing everything that was needed by the Members into one site so that their work could be completed more efficiently.

Everyone’s Aligned

Before the BGCC Member site launched, it was a real question mark to the National office on whether the BGCC staff would actually use it to collaborate. Today, the site has surpassed all of our expectations, playing host to over 250 member visits each week, and acquiring more than 50 new users on average per week. And the results are not just about statistical data: BGCC themselves have realized better feedback from their Members and see that the improved collaboration has made everyone more aligned, across the country!
