Although we unfortunately were not able to attend this year’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in person, we have been following its coverage closely. Below are just a few of the hottest tech gadgets that really caught our attention.

1. Lytro Camera

This is without a doubt one of the coolest new devices shown at CES this year. The Lytro camera is completely unconventional both in its design and its functionality but we have a feeling we’ll be seeing much more of this technology implemented in future devices. The Lytro camera captures all of the light in its field of view which amazingly allows you to change the focus of your photos after the fact. No more blurry auto-focus woes.

2. Feedair

The Feedair is a little device that pulls content from your Facebook feed, Twitter stream, email accounts, stock market, heck pretty much whatever you want, and displays it on its scrolling LED display. It's a neat way of keeping connected with your digital posse without having to constantly check your phone.

3. Victorinox 1TB USB Swiss Army Knife

The perfect tool for when you're stuck in the wilderness with only a pack of gum, one match, the clothes on your back, and um... your laptop. All joking aside, almost everyone at Radii wants one of these (though it's unlikely most of us could afford one). No word yet on pricing, but we’ve seen estimates ranging from $500 to $3,000.

4. Nest Learning Thermostat

The Nest Learning Thermostat will save you money, plain and simple. Over time, the Nest will automagically determine the optimal times to change your house’s temperature in order to save you money on your next bill. Not to mention it was created by former Apple big-wig designers and looks damn purty.

5. Samsung Smart Window

Yo dawg I heard you like windows. Samsung clearly felt that regular windows were too boring and were in much need of a tech overhaul. This new Samsung window is able to display digital images on a tranparent display. The digital images appear only to the viewer, meaning your neighbors won't be able to see what media you're looking at on the display.

Bonus: Razor Project Fiona

I know its supposed to be the top 5 gadgets but this one is just a working concept and was too cool to leave out of the list. That being said, we’re really hoping Razor eventually releases this one to the public. Although its small form factor and unconventional looks might throw you off, this device is a portable gaming powerhouse under the hood. Skyrim on the go? Sign us up!
